When preserving a natural tooth is not predictable, we carefully plan for implant placement, including same-day implants in appropriate cases.
We also evaluate and treat existing implants affected by infection or bone loss, with a focus on long-term stability and function.
Implant success depends on careful evaluation of bone, gums, bite, and long-term forces. As periodontists, our training focuses on these supporting structures.
We use advanced diagnostics and surgical planning to determine:
- implant position
- bone quality and volume
- gum health and stability
In select cases, it may be possible to place an implant at the same time as a tooth extraction. This decision is based on clinical findings and long-term predictability.
Same-day placement is not suitable for every patient and is carefully evaluated.
We recognise that implant procedures can cause anxiety. Sedation options are routinely available, and comfort is addressed at every stage of care.
Patients are encouraged to share questions or concerns so we can tailor the experience accordingly.
After implant placement, healing typically occurs over several months. We coordinate closely with the referring restorative dentist for final restoration, ensuring a seamless process.
