Scaling removes buildup from tooth surfaces and below the gums. Root planing smooths root surfaces to discourage bacterial reattachment and support healing.

 

Sedation or local anaesthesia may be used for comfort.

  • maintenance visits

Ongoing periodontal maintenance plays an important role in long-term success.
